Wow, my students and I survived a year. I must say my adventures in teaching technology have been pleasant. Now for the second year, armed with a new schedule, I find myself treading water. I am thankful for excellent educators such as the team of teachers from Barnstable School District in MA for allowing me to use their Digital Technology materials. Special thanks to Kim White for allowing me to use their materials and for sharing with me her blog. This, I feel, is a good example of collaboration and display of good digital citizenship.
On with the show...
Tech-a-muna
Word play on the Tagalog phrase "Teka muna" which means "Wait a second," welcome to the musings, sighs and aha moments of an English teacher turned techie.

Connectivity Issues
I respect the district policy of blocking sites fro, students and sraff. The intention is good. I use videos to complement my teaching and because youtube is blocked in my district, I bring along my on wi-fi connection. I was ready to go and wow my class with these wonderful data about the world wide web, when my network connection just can not be found. Since I started school a while back I have never had any issues with connectivity. sigh. another stumbling block.

WORDLE
I love wordles. They just take brainstorming and idea mapping to a whole new level! Create one yourself.

Edscape 2011
Who wants to spend a gorgeous Saturday indoors to learn more about technology applications for education? Apparently, me and a few hundreds of educators. Armed with a warm and frothy cup of pumpkin spice latte, I got on my white metallic steed and zoomed my way to New Milford High School.
Rosemary S. and Mr. Anton, both from EPSD were also in attendance. I attended four exciting and useful sessions. I feel like Mary Poppins with a bagful of tricks to try out with my students.
Symbaloo, Google search story, 20 cool things I can do with a smartboard.
I can't wait. I can't wait. I can't wait.
